What happens when alcohol leaves the body.
Alcohol detox clears alcohol from the body after a period of regular or heavy drinking. Once drinking stops, the body needs time to find its balance again, and that adjustment period is called withdrawal.
Left unmanaged, withdrawal can bring on shaking, sweating, anxiety, a racing heart, and in more serious cases, seizures or confusion. Our program manages that process for you, so you are never facing it without support close by.
When alcohol withdrawal needs medical support.
Feeling shaky, sweaty, or anxious after trying to cut back
Drinking becomes the only way to feel okay
Blackouts, seizures, or confusion after stopping
A heart condition, history of seizures, or a past attempt to quit that turned frightening
Our Approach to Clinically Managed Withdrawal Support
01
Intake Screening and Assessment
Before admission, our team completes a screening to understand your current situation and confirm this program is the right level of care.
02
Withdrawal Risk Screening and Treatment Planning
Using what we learn at intake, your care plan is prepared according to your personal risk level. Anyone with a history of severe withdrawal, seizures, or other complications is monitored with that history in mind from day one.
03
Transition Into Residential or Continuing Care
Detox is the beginning of recovery, not the end. Once you are medically stable, our team helps plan your next step, whether that is residential treatment or another level of care that fits your needs.
Detox is usually done within the first week. After that, clients move into our stabilization program. This part lasts 21 to 30 days. During this time, the body keeps healing while clients build new skills and habits to stay strong in recovery.
Once you are medically stable, our team helps plan your next step. Care may continue through residential treatment or another level of care that fits your needs, so support does not disappear once the hardest physical stage is over.
Our team stays close during stabilization, watches for signs that more support is needed, and helps clients prepare for the next step in their care.
