Addiction and mental health are treated together.
Dual diagnosis, also known clinically as a co-occurring disorder, means a person is experiencing a substance use disorder and a mental health condition at the same time. The two conditions often share the same root causes, including genetics, trauma, and chronic stress, and substance use can change brain chemistry in ways that make symptoms worse on both sides.
Many people use drugs or alcohol to self-medicate symptoms they do not yet understand, creating a cycle where each condition feeds the other.
This is why we treat addiction and mental health as one connected condition, under one coordinated care team, rather than as two separate cases.
Mental health and substance use, addressed together.
Our co-occurring disorder treatment program addresses a range of mental health conditions alongside substance use. Every client's plan looks different because every story is different.
For one client, that might mean trauma-focused therapy comes first. For another, medication stabilization has to happen before deeper therapeutic work can begin.
The right amount of support at every stage.
We offer multiple levels of care within one dual diagnosis treatment center, so each client gets the right amount of support at every stage.
Our inpatient dual diagnosis treatment setting gives clients a structured, supportive place to focus fully on healing. Living on-site removes daily stressors and triggers, which helps clients build a strong foundation for recovery.
PHP offers a high level of care during the day while allowing clients to return home or to sober housing at night. This option works well for those who need intensive support but do not require full-time residential care.
Recovery does not stop at discharge. Our aftercare and alumni programs keep clients connected to support long after they finish active treatment.
One coordinated process from assessment through recovery.
01
Psychiatric & Substance Use Assessment
Every client begins with a full evaluation. This dual diagnosis assessment looks at mental health history, substance use patterns, and personal goals so we can build a plan that fits.
02
Personalized Treatment Planning
No two people heal the same way. After the assessment, our team creates a treatment plan built around your specific needs, not a generic template.
03
Clinical & Medical Care
Our care team meets regularly to review your progress and share updates across therapy, medical, and psychiatric care, so a change in one area, like a medication adjustment, is reflected everywhere else too.
04
Ongoing Progress Monitoring & Adjustment
Recovery is not a straight line. Our team checks in regularly and adjusts your plan as needed so your care keeps working for you.
Therapy that supports the whole picture.
This gives you one-on-one time with a therapist to work through personal challenges. It builds a private space to process thoughts and emotions at your own pace.
This connects you with others facing similar struggles. It builds a sense of support and shared understanding during recovery.
This helps repair trust and communication within the family. It gives loved ones tools to support your recovery long term.
This addresses how addiction and mental health affect a relationship. It helps both partners rebuild a healthy, stable connection.
This offers flexible access to care from home. It keeps treatment consistent for clients who cannot attend in person.
Dual diagnosis care built around your full history.
Our team stays in contact throughout your care, so decisions about your dual diagnosis treatment reflect your full history, not just one part of it.
Sessions are built around your specific diagnosis and history rather than a fixed program schedule. Being away from daily triggers gives you the space needed to focus on recovery without outside pressure.
